What if Logoku starts selling logo stock?

What if Logoku starts selling logo stock?

It would be hosted on the subdomain stock.logoku.com, distinct from the main website www.logoku.com / fr.logoku.com / es.logoku.com / id.logoku.com

1. Aiding in traffic indexing (SEO).

2. Logos that have been declined (DC) but maintain quality can be included in the stock.

3. Logos with a minimum rating of 2 will automatically present the "Add to Stock" option with a non-empty image. (If the rating is below 2, the image will be empty.)

4. A unified platform for selling logos, where DC logos (declined) can still be sold as non-exclusive (stock).

5. The decision to sell as stock is at the discretion of the designer, who can choose to click "Add to Stock" or not.

6. Upon clicking 'Add to Stock,' the designer can proceed to upload the SVG file for direct buyer download, ensuring a seamless and immediate access experience.

I think it's a good idea. Creating a subdomain like "stock.logoku.com" for selling non-exclusive logos on Logoku.com, is a strategic move that can enhance the user experience and expand our offerings.

The subdomain structure provides clear organization between exclusive and non-exclusive offerings.

Users can easily distinguish between the exclusive, premium logos on the main domain and the broader selection of non-exclusive logos on the subdomain.

- User Experience:

This setup streamlines the user experience. Clients looking for exclusive, premium designs can stay on the main domain, while those seeking more affordable, non-exclusive options can navigate to the subdomain.

It caters to a broader audience by offering different tiers of quality and exclusivity.

- Market Expansion:

The addition of non-exclusive logos broadens your market reach. It attracts customers with varying budget ranges and preferences.

It positions Logoku.com as a comprehensive marketplace catering to both high-end, exclusive needs and more budget-friendly requirements.

- Marketing Strategy:

From a marketing perspective, you can run targeted campaigns for each section. Promote exclusive logos as premium and unique, while advertising non-exclusive logos as accessible and versatile.

Utilize social media, and other channels to communicate the benefits of both offerings.

- Flexibility for Designers:

Designers can now contribute to both exclusive and non-exclusive categories, allowing them to diversify their portfolios and reach a broader customer base.

- SEO Benefits:

Structuring your marketplace this way can positively impact SEO. Each subdomain can be optimized for its specific target audience, increasing visibility in relevant searches.

- Clear Policies:

Ensure there are clear policies in place regarding exclusivity, licensing, and usage rights. Transparency builds trust with both designers and buyers.

By implementing stock.logoku.com, we're creating a user-friendly, diversified platform that caters to a wider audience while maintaining the premium and exclusive identity of Logoku.com. It's a win-win for both designers and customers.

I don't think it is a good idea.

Reasons:

1) you can't even come close to compete with big sites like brandcrowd, logo.com, creativemarket, designbundles, graphicriver, etc. Not to even mention adobe stock, vectorstock, shutterstock, etc.

2) most designers who upload here are already selling on other websites, such as logoground, scalebranding, logostack, newglue, etc. Logos that you decline, are not declined on other websites actually. All logos that you declined in my case, they are all approved on Logoground, scalebranding, etc. I don't think you would have much left with declined logos, because they are for sale on other exclusive logos websites and can't be put for sale on stock website.

3) most stock logos are cheap copies with infringement material, the amount of work you would have to put to review copyright reports and remove the infringing material would eat up any profit you would make. On monthly basis shutterstock and adobe alone review up to 100 reports only from me and my company.

4) you might think that extra exposure would bring something good to logoku on google, but actually it won't. I will give you first hand evidence if needed. Google only allows certain amount of products from a website to be displayed. Once you get in thousands of products, google will start removing the logos from search results due to high volume and saturation (spamming). That is why big companies relly on advertisement and for you to run a stock business, you would have to have a big advertising budget, otherwise once google removes you from search results over a year period, you won't be making any sales.

5. It is not good to associate exclusive logos domain and stock domain, because people actually don't know the difference. Buyers are not sure why one logo is 15 usd and other 350 usd. They don't know about license, they don't know about copyright. They read it, but don't really understand it. I have experience on this in 9 years and 650 sold logos, trust me - buyers will not buy a ready made logo, because they will not understand what they get with 350 usd logo when same domain has 15 usd logos.

If you want stock website, it would be good to have completely different domain name and not associated with logoku.com domain in any way, because that way the ready made logos will be in trouble, we designers will be in trouble and you won't make a lot of profit on stock logos, since big companies will always win there.

On google, there is a room for ready made websites (smaller size, bigger prices), but google will always give advantage to big companies in stock section (big company, small prices, big volume of products, BIG ADVERTISING BUDGET).

Adding this feature seamlessly integrates with the main website, making it super convenient for designers. It's like an extra option for them to casually sell their logos as stock. Very easy

Very agree, because with a subdomain like this, the designers' ideas will not be wasted. However, it is hoped that with the new sub-domain "stock.logoku.com", logoku officials, especially the admin, will guarantee that logoku.com will start to get lots of visitors to compete with stock design competitors such as elemento, free pick etc.

I agree with @Eclipse42

I agree with @Eclipse42

That would be great, but it would be better if the stocks on different website not in logoku.com

Try to create another website just only for DC logos, so that logoku.com has another none exclusive website

That's Great Idea

Ok

Ok

Great! Thanks a bunch for your comments, everyone. Obviously, there are some pros and cons.

We're thinking of reconsidering this feature since, as a community that adds features, it won't be cool without a solid agreement from the members

Cheers, thanks again!
