Keyword Internal Search Bug

Hello Administration,

I checked the internal search system for keywords and their results. Here is what I found:

1) When uploading the logo we have keywords to write. In example of a logo that is titled "bull logo" (that is in black color, with head element) keywords are: bull, head, black, etc...
2) When searching the internal system with keywords, the logo is only displayed by his title, so in upper example even though I have keywords like "head" and "black" (to describe my logo), the internal search system is not displaying my logo.
3) The search results should display logos by keywords, not title because keywords are exactly made for that.
4) The search system should recognise keywords typed in the search bar and display all results that cotain those keywords, so in my example in point 1 above, would be:
Logo title: Bull Logo
Keywords: bull, taurus, head, animal, black
Internal search results should display my logo when searched for this keywords: bull, bull head, black bull, black bull head.
Right now the internal search system only dosplay logos by the title, which means our keywords are irrelevant right now (even though we type them in during the upload). If the system will not display logos by keywords, then we can remove the keywords during the uploading section.

You can test this by searching the logos by keywords ( tags), by typing in the search bar: "bull head". You will see only 6 logos, while when you search for "bull" you will see many logos that have keyword "head" in it, but are not displayed on "bull head" search.

hello @Eclipse42

After nearly 2 years in operation, the internal search, which previously displayed results by keyword (title, keywords), by tag, by store, was recently modified.

This was due to the abundance of irrelevant results and excessive keyword spamming by members. Initially, we had around 20 keywords, but we have now limited them, due to the spamming by members, some of which were not even related to their logos but were aimed at appearing in multiple search results.

We understand the importance of specific tags for specific needs, and if all members were like you, there would be no issue.

Hi,

Thank you for the reply.

I think for internal search only relevant thing should be keywords and system should read exactly the keywords written.

It is great you limited it to 10 keywords.

For example: I have a "cyber wolf" logo and when I search for "cyber wolf", my logo is displayed.

Image

My cyber wolf logo has keyword "technology" in it as well, since technology and cyber are like synonyms. It also has keyword "tech", as a short term for technology and cyber.

But when I search for "tech wolf" or "technology wolf" the results are very messy, don't have my logo which is related to tech or technology wolf and results are not in english.

After looking at all this, do you agree that for "tech wolf" and "technology wolf" more relevant logo would be logos with those keyword, instead of above shown logos on last two images, where for "tech wolf" we see results like monogram, elephant, swallow, etc. And same for "technology wolf" where we get bear, monogram, abstract logos, etc.

In both situations only reading of exact keywords will be better for the system. My logo cyber wolf would be perfect for terms "tech wolf" "technology wolf" "cyber wolf", because it has keywords: wolf, cyber, tech, technology. And the keywords reading system would not show my logo on "cyber horse" search, because it doesn't have keyword "horse" in it, which is why the internal search system should only read keywords and keywords combination (if two or three words are used).

Keyword search needs more fixing.

Right now someone before me searched for "simple blue rhino logo". I checked that search and the results are nowhere better than they were before.

The logos displayed should be logos with 3 keywords "blue" "rhino" "simple". If there is not a logo with those 3 keywords, then search results should say something like "There is no logos with that combination of keywords, try something else", so the client can search for blue rhino or simple rhino or just rhino.

For example I have the logo with exact those keywords that someone searched for: https://www.logoku.com/simple-blue-rhino-logo-ddjf

However, my logo was not displayed even though it fits perfectly with the 3 keywords typed in.

I also checked my logo and its keywords and my logo has exactly those keywords: "rhino" "blue" "simple" and it is a big minus to not have that logo displayed.

So the keyword search system should be fixed further to show exactly what has been search for and not a bunch of irrelevant logos. Nobody will buy lion if they searched for a simple blue rhino logo.
